I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from a private office in the centre of Holywood, County Down (BT18). Assessment sessions are available at short notice and I work hours that will hopefully suit you, offering both weekend and evening appointments.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is highly effective for the treatment of low mood and anxiety and I believe the skills CBT teaches can help anybody solve problems, achieve goals and improve their quality of life.
At Room Psychotherapy we aim to help people better understand their current situation, why they think and act as they do so that we can collaboratively plan a better way in which to deal with situations in the future. I am very passionate about educating people on the symptoms of anxiety or mood disorders and simplifying things that you may currently be experiencing that are causing great upset.
CBT uses proven techniques to overcome clinical mental health conditions and is the NICE guidelines recommended treatment for Depression and many anxiety conditions.
We believe therapy can teach skills to protect mental wellbeing and therefore encourage people to take positive action before mental health is considered a problem. Positive mental health requires attention in the same way as we may manage are physical wellbeng. At Room, we look to offer a safe space for you to discuss and explore your thoughts and feelings.
Appointments are also available with my colleague Donna Beattie.
