About me

We all face times when life feels challenging and we find it difficult to see a path forward. This may be because of a recent life event such as a bereavement or the breakdown of a relationship, or perhaps issues have been brewing for some time and have now reached a boiling point for you. Perhaps you're looking to simply understand yourself better and develop as a person.

In my experience, people come to therapy for many reasons including:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Low self-esteem
  • Bereavement
  • Trauma
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Life transitions
  • Self-development

Self-doubt, isolation, fear, or a struggle to manage your emotions may be barriers preventing you from overcoming difficulties and finding the answers you're looking for.

Therapy offers a calm, reflective, open and judgement-free space to talk about your thoughts and feelings.

Working together, we can explore patterns of negative behaviour and what the root of these might be. We can then start to reframe situations, consider alternative approaches and explore what changes you'd like to make and how you might achieve these.

Next steps:

Please get in touch and we can arrange a free initial meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for you to tell me a bit more about what brings you to therapy and a little bit about yourself, and to decide if we are a good fit to work together.

Please visit my website for FAQs or email me with any questions and I'll get back to you within 24 hours.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from The University of Roehampton (BACP Accredited).

As an integrative practitioner, I am trained in and have experience of working with the three main therapeutic approaches: psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive-behavioural. This diversity of thinking allows me to find the right approach for you and address the challenges you are currently facing.

I run a private practice working with adults across a broad range of issues on a long-term basis. I also work as an Assessor for a community counselling service.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
