About me

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist with many years experience working with clients of all ages. I have also undertaken specialist training in counselling children and adolescents.

I have experience in working therapeutically with a wide range of difficulties including; anxiety and panic disorder, self harm, suicidal ideation, low self esteem, family difficulties, relationship problems and many more.

I provide therapy in a safe and supportive environment in which the client can explore the issues which are causing difficulty. Many clients, in particular adolescents and children, struggle to communicate their feelings verbally and therefore in my practice I use creative approaches including therapeutic play in order to meet the client`s needs. Involvement in an activity often eases the client`s anxiety and enables expression of thoughts and feelings and exploration into difficult experiences.

Feedback from my clients has been that counselling has helped them gain insight and awareness into their situation enabling them to develop a new sense of hope and resilience.

I am an accredited member of the BACP and I adhere to their ethical guidelines. I hold professional insurance and have received enhanced clearance from Access NI to work with children and young people.
