About me
Hi, my name is Ally.
Welcome to my profile, I hope it can bring you comfort in taking the next step. I am a caring/loyal and trustworthy person, I believe that everybody from all walks of life deserves respect and support.
I believe that we can all grow and learn from one another, even though our journeys are different we are still able to empathise and relate in our own individual ways.
Have you ever felt disconnected from your own thoughts and feelings, do you find the questions you are asking yourself are beginning with 'why' but you can't finish with an answer.
As humans we like to think we are guaranteed one form of reassurance, and that is the control we hold over our own body, thoughts and emotions, but when we start to feel unwell within ourselves it can take control on how we move forward and the decisions we may make. after all, how do we know what we need when we don't always understand ourselves.
I am here and together we can start to piece the puzzle back together, so you can regain back your control and start to feel life is making sense again.
My own experience with mental health has led me to to really understand and relate with individuals living with their own daily battle's, fear of potentially feeling judged or misunderstood this can be the key reason why people don't feel they can ask for help, and I really want to break that stigma.
I became a counsellor because I feel passionate about providing a safe environment to where my clients can call their own, away from day-to-day life/stressful situations, where they can just be themselves, no expectations, feeling free to just be.
Having somebody to speak to that is not emotionally involved in your day-to-day life can bring reassurance of your privacy and no hidden agenda.
I often refer to finding a therapist like finding a pair of shoes, they need to fit, but more importantly they need to feel comfortable.
Building a trusting relationship with my clients is the foundation of our work together, to ensure you feel comfortable within your session, comfort and trust will enable you to feel you can fully explore and challenge yourself to achieve your own goals and growth.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
