About me

I provide a safe, confidential and professional space to explore, make sense of and take active steps to work through the difficulties you are facing. Be it problems in the hear and now or events in your early life, I can support you at your pace and tailor my 17 years of experience as a psychotherapist and counsellor to get to the heart of what you are struggling with, and together we can bring about positive change in your life.

Are you feeling worried and anxious, depressed, lacking in confidence, or self-critical? These are often common experiences when we face difficulties in our life be it past or present and it can be difficult to know where to turn or what could be helpful.

I work as an integrative counsellor which means I tailor my approach to you, drawing down on 17 years of clinical experience of practicing multiple therapeutic approaches. Throughout my career I have been fortunate to work with many people who have entrusted me with some of their most difficult and painful experiences to work, together to move past these difficulties.

I am passionate about providing a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental space for people to heal and grow. I have significant experience in providing an explorative person centred approach where you can explore you difficulties, past and present to help increase your understanding of yourself and improving your self-acceptance and self-worth. Within this, we can also make sense of how your past experiences impact on the here and now.

I also have extensive experience in apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, so if you need a more focused, change driven approach I can also help you to get going and make changes in your life. Equally, if you need a combination of both, I can support you in this too, which is at the heart of my integrative approach.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
