About me

Who I am:

I am a qualified, registered and accredited psychotherapist offering support to adult individuals in central London, SW1W.

I have experience of working with a variety of psychological problems, some of which include anxiety, depression, bereavement, eating disorders, stress, relationship issues, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, rape and self harm. I have several years experience of working in the voluntary sector and also have a background of working in primary education.

How can I help?

Whatever the problem, whether you feel it big, small, silly, embarrassing or shameful I am here to help. Maybe you feel sad or depressed and are struggling to cope alone. Perhaps you’re experiencing persistent thoughts and unwanted memories. Or maybe it’s less clear and you have a sense of feeling stuck, something just isn’t right and you can’t put your finger on what it is. Whatever it is, my aim is to provide you with a safe and confidential space where I will listen to you without preconception or judgment but with empathy and compassion. In this I aim to support you wholeheartedly in exploring and understanding yourself and working towards finding a more fulfilled and satisfying way of living.

Please do give me a call or send a message to see how I may be able to help you. I aim to get back to you within 48 working hours.

Initial session:

I offer a 50 minute initial session at a lower fee. This is for us to get a sense of each other, for you to ask any questions you might have about therapy and for us both to decide if therapy will be helpful to you.

Some people require only a few sessions while others may feel they need longer. This is something we can discuss in our first meeting and that can be reviewed as we go forward.

What to expect:

Sessions last for 50 minutes and are usually at the same time each week. My approach to therapy means that each session is tailored to your individual needs and so I will follow your lead in therapy, helping you explore what you wish to discuss each week. It may be that you know what you want to focus on or there may be a variety of themes you want to explore. Whatever they are I will aim to help you to look at and understand them in more depth.
