About me

Hi, I am Alice. I am an accredited CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) therapist. I have also completed training in EMDR and trauma focused therapy. If you have been having difficulties with your mood or anxiety, are feeling distressed, or are not even sure whether something is wrong or not, then perhaps I can help you. I offer a warm, non-judgemental and secure space where we can talk through and start to understand your difficulties. I have worked for the NHS in the community and prison settings for over ten years. I’m well informed, pragmatic, down to earth and compassionate.

I have experience or working with people with a variety of different problems, however, I specialise in treating PTSD and in particular PTSD to sexual assault. I have received extensive further training in this area from leading consultant psychologists in this field.

I use trauma focused CBT, CFT and ACT based approaches to help people understand and overcome their trauma and PTSD. In our first sessions we talk about things at the pace you would like to, ensuring that you feel as comfortable and safe as possible in our sessions. I aim to empower people to overcome their PTSD as soon as they are able to, with my full support and care alongside them throughout.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my CBT post graduate diploma in 2019. I have since trained in EMDR (Parts 1-4) (2022). I have also received extensive training in treating PTSD using trauma focused cognitive behavioural therapy (2921).
I have previously worked in mental health services in the NHS in various settings.

I have completed extensive further training in compassion focused therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and commitment Therapy (ACT).
