Having worked in healthcare for 30 years and acquired a lot of qualifications along the way, I am able to offer you a range of therapies in order to help you get better more quickly. I have worked with all ages and all types of difficulties. I typically see 30 people a week - thats a lot of therapy experience!
During my previous career in occupational therapy, I worked in a locked inpatient unit providing people with practical living skills and talking therapy. I then worked in the NHS community mental health service, helping people with severe mental health difficulties and psychosis. I currently work for the NHS as well as privately. I have spent the last ten years in the Steps to Wellbeing service helping people to overcome anxiety, depression, phobias, OCD and trauma. I am also part of the NHS service, treating people with fybro, ME and chronic pain. I have spent four years supervising other therapists.
In my private work, I also add in some NLP and hypnotherapy, to help you to make the changes more quickly. As such, it is so rewarding to see people gain a more speedy transformation and sense of relief. If you would like a spiritual dimension to therapy, I am able to add in some energy healing work as an additional compliment to our work together.
I run a calm, relaxing clinic in Dorchester, overseeing a team of practitioners also working there. Mindful Solace is a centre for a range of complimentary therapies, including reiki, mindfulness, coaching, reflexology and a variety of courses. I offer individual sessions, plus various workshops on: sleeping well, overcoming stress, mindfulness skills and mindful eating.
When I'm not working, I am travelling, doing arts & crafts, yoga, learning Spanish, going to Toastmasters or various Steampunk events around the south west. I believe in living life to the full and I will help you to gain the life you want too.
