About me
Hello, I am Alexandra. As an experienced humanistic counsellor, my approach is centred on providing a compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts and experiences freely.
My aim as a counsellor is to support you to process and understand how experiences both present and past are impacting your wellbeing, giving you a safe space to find a way forward.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Diploma with Distinction in Humanistic Counselling from the University of Chichester. My training allows me to draw upon the breadth of many humanistic approaches including Attachment Theory and Gestalt.
For the past 6 years I have worked for a service for adults and young people aged 16+ requiring therapeutic support. During this time I have gained experience working with clients with a diverse range of life experience and needs including depression, anxiety, addiction and bereavement.
As a member of the BACP, I adhere to their Ethical Framework and I have regular supervision to support my practice. I attend regular workshops and courses to ensure my skills and training remains up to date.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
