About me

As a professional, experienced counsellor I can offer you the space to speak freely in confidence in a safe, peaceful environment near Uckfield, East Sussex.

I have helped people with many different issues, amongst them anger, anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. I am trained in a range of counselling modalities including the Person-Centred and Gestalt models and Transactional Analysis and can tailor my approach according to your unique needs.

As a former teacher and solicitor I am keenly aware of my responsibility to you as my client. I recognise that you are placing your trust in me. I practise in accordance with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's Ethical Framework, which sets out the professional and ethical standards expected of counsellors and psychotherapists. I undertake regular professional training and hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.

I will not tell you what to do nor will I give you my opinion. I believe that you are your own expert. I will work with you to understand life as you see it, help you to identify the changes you want to make and support you in your choices.

If you would like to find out more, please do contact me for a free initial consultation.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
