Alessandra Murray BA (Hons) Dip Couns MBACP
Hello, I'm Alessandra, a humanistic integrative counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I work with many different issues, amongst them anger, anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. I am trained in a range of counselling modalities including the Person-Centred and Gestalt models and Transactional Analysis and can tailor my approach according to your unique needs.
As a former teacher and solicitor I am keenly aware of my responsibility to you as my client. I recognise that you are placing your trust in me. I practise in accordance with the BACP's Ethical Framework, which sets out the professional and ethical standards expected of counsellors and psychotherapists. I undertake regular professional training and hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
I will not tell you what to do nor will I give you my opinion. I believe that you are your own expert. I will work with you to understand life as you see it, help you to identify the changes you want to make and support you in your choices.
