About me

Anxiety, depression, self esteem and confidence issues, I’m here to help you move on with life and work through things at your own pace without judgement.

I’m here to help you through the difficult times, over the bumps in the road until things even out for you.  I will work with you with compassion, empathy and realness to understand the way you see things right now.

Are you going through a difficult time right now? Perhaps you struggle to cope daily and are unsure how to move forward.  Maybe there are things that you would like to work on personally.  Having a space to explore things can be highly beneficial and lead to a greater self awareness, confidence and resilience. Pressures and stresses of life can mount up to the point where we no longer feel in control, having a safe space to untangle and work through difficult emotions with the support can be empowering.

We will work together to build a picture of the issues affecting you and impacting your life to understand the issue in more depth and at pace that suits you.
It may take a few sessions to get to know one another and establish a trusting relationship which is vital.  I will never judge or offer advice or diagnosis but will try to understand things from your perspective with empathy to gain a deeper understanding.

I am experienced in working with the following;

  • Inner conflicts
  • Childhood attachments, and deep-rooted issues.
  • Traumas
  • Relationships
  • Self Esteem and Confidence Issues/low mood and depression.
  • Anxiety, stress and panic attacks

The Therapy Journey

Therapy can be a gradual but rewarding process where change can come about almost unnoticed.

Clients often see a difference when looking back to when they first started therapy and notice how they have changed and grown since starting out.

“We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding and true empathy.  Yet listening of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know.”

- Carl Roger’s - Psychologist

Client Experience

“Having found myself in a pretty low place emotionally - and with very little support available through the NHS - I took the decision to look for private counselling sessions with Ainsley, and I'm very glad I did.  Over the space of 8 or 9 months - his honest, flexible and professional approach allowed me to find the inner strength that has been missing for quite some time.”

“I was able to talk through my issues, worries and challenges and - with his guidance - find ways and methods that worked for me to become a better and mentally stronger person.
For those looking for help - don't hesitate.
Thank you Ainsley for all of your support over this year.
Help is always there for those who ask for it".

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
