About me
I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and registered member of the BACP, providing counselling adults, children and young people in my private practice near Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, and adults and young children in surgeries across Swansea. My therapeutic practice is based on a person-centred and emotion-focused approach with adults and young people. With children my approach is primarily based on play/creative/talk therapy. I have significant experience of working in many different areas of mental health, with all ages, including anxiety, depression, specific problems such as eating disorders, and also trauma.
In order to help you make a decision whether or not to work with me, I offer a free initial consultation where we can talk about your expectations and answer any questions you may have.
If you decide to work with me, and I do hope you will, you or your child will be listened to in a safe and non-judgmental way, within a confidential and professional working relationship. Through this, you will be able to explore important aspects of your life that are related to whatever is troubling you. By exploring these things, this can lead to a new understanding of yourself, and changes in the way you feel about yourself and your relationship to others.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
