I am an experienced Psychoterapeutic Counsellor (UKCP) and CBT Psychotherapist (BABCP accredited), EMDR Practitioner and Supervisor. I have worked for over 20 years in the NHS, in CAMHS with children, young people and families and with Adults in GP surgeries and Mental Health Teams.
I specialise in CBT with children and young people and families.
I work with a wide range of psychological problems, all anxiety presentations (panic, fears and phobias, social anxiety, OCD and any obsessional or irrational fears, Body Dysmorphia, health anxiety, stress), depression, low self esteem, identity and sexual concerns,
trauma -past and recent, complex bereavement, struggles with adjustment, relationship concerns and break-ups, sleep problems, eating difficulties, weight concerns, self harm, emotional regulation issues and anger, maternal mental health and baby/bonding difficulties, chronic pain and disfigurement. I am able to help with children behaviour problems and parenting concerns.
I work with all ages and genuinely enjoy working with people. I am passionate about helping others and over the years I have had good recovery rates.

I have been accredited with UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) since 2009. I am a qualified CBT Psychotherapist and have been accredited with British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) since 2011. I am a qualified supervisor and have been registered with British Association of Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervisors (BAPPS) since 2012.
I adhere to BABCP and UKCP standards of Conduct, performance and ethics.

British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists.
BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

8 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday Saturday by arrangement
I have a home-based practice. (Free on street parking).
I can offer time limited therapy with an agreed number of sessions to address a particular problem or see clients for longer term if this is recommended and appropriate.
I am always guided by clients' goals and a thorough assessment. I tailor my therapeutic approach to clients' specific needs and work in a holistic way. I describe myself as Integrative Psychotherapist.
