About me

Hi and welcome to my page.

I’m a bilingual Counsellor and I speak Italian, Sicilian and English. I hold a level 4 and 5 Diploma in Counselling/Psychotherapy.

I'm a registered member of the BACP and I adhere ethically and morally to the counselling profession. I am a counsellor at Mind and have experience working with common mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, panic, fear and more.

My main therapeutic approach is Person Centred; this approach will allow you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a confidential environment. It focuses on the here and now and encourages you to think in the present moment. It is based on the humanistic philosophy that every individual has the ability to create a more positive, and satisfying way of living. The answers are within you, and with empathy, honesty and a non-judgmental approach, you can find ways of resolving issues and changing perspectives.

I believe a therapeutic relationship is the ability to talk to a professional Counsellor, who will not judge you, blame you or make assumptions and truly accepts you for who you are, and to enable you to accept your decisions and work towards your goals.

My private practice is located in Leighton Buzzard and Dunstable and i can offer day or evening appointments.

I'm also an Associate Counsellor at The Old Surgery Counselling Centre in Leighton Buzzard.

You may contact me on: 07988363297 or email me.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a trained Person Centred Counsellor, and hold a level 4 and level 5 Diploma in Counselling /Psychotherapy. I have attended additional training on CBT(Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and i am able to utilise this in my practice.

I'm a Counsellor at Mind and I have regular one to one supervision to ensure that I am working ethically and professionally. My ability to counsel you is through extensive training CPD, (Continuing Professional Development) ,my own personal counselling and through my own life experiences.

I have experience working with common mental health issues such as: Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Panic, Fear, Loss, Anger, Sadness, Relationships, Guilt, Low self-esteem, Redundancy, Bereavement, plus any other difficulties.

I value individual differences, integrity and honesty, and fully respect and encourage the importance of autonomy.  By enabling an individual to utilise free association and free thinking during disclosure ,in a safe and confidential environment, i strongly believe people can be empowered into finding their own answers and enabling them to find their own path.

My fee is £40 per session and this is payable at the end of each session. We will agree a convenient time and day that suits us both and you can have this appointment slot time for as long as you need it. Sessions are weekly, unless otherwise agreed and they last 50 minutes. If you need to cancel an appointment, I will need 24 hours’ notice just so I can cancel the room, or there will be a charge to cover the cost of the room.

Further information

I am very passionate in what I believe in, to listen non-judgmentally to whatever worries or problems people may be experiencing, and to enable them to understand better what is happening.

Person-centred counselling is a non-directive approach which provides therapeutic support enabling you to utilise free association and free thinking during disclosure, in a confidential and safe environment.
