Adriana Rubio Hernandez, Multilingual Psychologist. Ba(Hons)/MSc /HCPC
I am a registered Psychologist with more than 10 years of experience in Psychotherapy and counseling. I work using an Integrative Perspective, what this means is that I have a depth of training that allows me to use approaches that feel best suited to your unique situation and experience (Main approaches: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Strategic Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, Coaching, NLP, EMDR)
I focus my work on empower and accompany individuals in discovering their own strengths and coping mechanisms, expanding their conscious capacity in the pursuit of balance and transformation. My approach is to work intuitively and creatively so that each session is personal to you.
I use scientific proven methods to help people to overcome anxiety, depression, stress, traumas, addictions, griefs and other metal health issues. Moreover, I offer my support to people in their journey to achieve live/professional goals, to overcome fears and limitations, to improve their self-steam and self-knowledge, to learn communication skills, to achieve satisfactory relationships, among other situations.
I am specialised, on one hand, in migration processes, intercultural relationships and identities, thanks to my academical, personal and professional experience with people in transit and expatriates. On the other hand, and due to my experience as humanitarian psychologist, I am specialised in trauma/PTSD recovering.
I also provide couples support. Couples can benefit from talking through their relationship situations covering areas such as break down of communication/health issues/child care/commitment/intimacy.
I work with individuals (adults and adolescents) and couples in comfortable, private and discreet rooms in Cambridge and Peterborough. I provide a confidential, non judgmental, no blame, no taking sides space.
