About me

About Me

I’m an experienced integrative therapist working with adults facing a range of emotional and psychological challenges, both in short-term and long-term therapy. I have worked in private practice as well as in specialised settings, including addiction services, LGBTQ+ organisations, and with individuals navigating trauma, substance use and relational difficulties.

I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk freely about what’s going on for you. My approach is collaborative, supportive and inclusive, helping you explore the deeper layers of your experience and work towards meaningful change.

Whether you're feeling anxious, low in self-esteem, overwhelmed or just not yourself, therapy can provide a grounding space to begin making sense of things. We’ll move at your pace, starting with where you are.

How Therapy Might Help

People come to therapy for many reasons. You might be struggling in your relationships, caught in cycles of overthinking or self-criticism, or feeling uncertain about your identity or direction in life. Sometimes the reason is less clear — just a sense that something isn’t quite right.

Therapy offers time and space to explore your experiences in more depth. It can help you develop greater awareness, emotional resilience and a stronger sense of self.

Areas I Work With

I work with adults from all backgrounds and have particular experience in the following areas:

• Anxiety and overwhelm
• Low self-worth and inner criticism
• Overthinking and difficulty making decisions
• Relationship patterns and attachment issues
• Life transitions and uncertainty
• Identity and belonging
• LGBTQ+ experiences
• Shame, internal conflict and trauma

LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy

I have specialist experience working with LGBTQ+ clients, including gay men and trans people. My approach is affirming, trauma-aware and inclusive, offering space to explore all aspects of who you are.

This might include working through early experiences, internalised messages or shame, or navigating issues related to identity, intimacy and relationships. I also work with people exploring their relationship with sex and substance use, including chemsex.

Together we can explore what matters to you and support you in connecting more fully with yourself.

Starting Therapy

I offer a free 20-minute online consultation so we can meet and you can get a feel for whether this is the right fit for you. You’re welcome to bring any questions or uncertainties. Whether you have a clear focus or are just beginning to explore, we’ll start with whatever feels most important.

To book an introductory session, you’re welcome to email me directly.

Availability and Locations

I offer therapy both in person and online. In-person sessions are available in Hitchin and London. Online appointments are typically available on Thursday and Friday mornings, though I’ll do my best to accommodate other times if needed.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
