I work as a counsellor, coach and personal consultant at Realeminds ltd. Details of my training, qualification and experience are below.
My working days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. This is carried out online, via zoom, telephone, walking therapy and (based on depth of relationship) home visits.
When you get in touch I promise to respond within 24hrs at which we arrange a 30min assessment to identify areas you want to work on and create a bespoke program to work towards your goals and/or preferred future. This could be short term, long term or periodically. You are however expected to commit to weekly sessions for at least 6weeks initially. Once the plan is agreed upon we start work within days and you are consulted at every step of therapy, and only work agreed on by both parties is carried out.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a trained, registered and experienced integrative counsellor, coach, and personal consultant at BACP. Other qualifications and experience include a masters in Human Resource Management (HRM), an Early Years Professional Staus (EYPS) at CWDC.
This knowledge and experience gives me a variety of tools and skills to work with leading to a holistic experience in which clients can heal, make changes and live as the best version of themselves.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
To be discussed at assessment.
I offer therapy based on what the clients’s needs and/or goals are. These are identified during a free assessment of about 30mins. We also decide if therapy is to be short term, long term and/or periodically. Acknowledging that changes can take place during the work, adjustments to the work will be considered.
