About me

I am a UKCP registered Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapist, currently offering sessions in person, or using zoom where meeting in person is unsafe or not possible.

Psychotherapy is a safe and confidential space for you to explore anything on your mind. I am trained to work with children and adults. There may be confusing events that keep happening, or strange and unwanted feelings that seem to keep reoccurring. Thinking about the underlying meanings behind these events and feelings can add light to what was previously unexplained, and add depth and understanding to our lives. The aim is to overcome the obstacles that prevent you from being able to thrive and fulfil your full potential.

You may have experienced some sort of trauma, or perceived something in a traumatic way. You may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or low mood, and not know why. You may wish to explore more about your inner life, looking at obstacles that seem to appear, or wonder how to make your present life, and future, a little bit clearer. You may want to look at what can cause you inner conflict, or conflict with others, and psychotherapy is a safe place to do this.

This exploration of your inner life can lead to an increased sense of self-worth, strength and resilience, offering some clarity into your sense of purpose and really connecting with what fulfils you in life.

It may be that you are reading this to find someone to help with your child, or a child you may know. As a Child Psychotherapist I am trained to really think about what may be going on for a child, and how adverse circumstances may have impacted on them. This can really offer a lifeline to children who feel misunderstood, and can help families to understand what may be going on for them too. Emotional difficulties can manifest in very challenging behaviours and some help to unpick these behaviours can really help turn things around for everybody.

I welcome you to contact me if you would like to discuss sessions for you, or for your child.
