Adam Coombes MBACP - Counsellor & NLP practitioner
A warm welcome to you
Thank you for checking out my profile & welcome.
*LOCKDOWN 2 UPDATE* - To support you in these difficult times, I am continuing to offer appointments in person, online and via telephone. Appointments in person will be under certain conditions, please see my video explaining more here: https://youtu.be/lfz6b7A2Yso .
Areas of support
You may be seeking support for a number of reasons and this year in particular has been a catalyst for many problems arising or becoming unavoidable. Now, more than ever, it is so important to reach out and allow support with what you are facing.
I deal with a multitude of issues such as (in no particular order):
- Stress exploration & management
- Self Esteem
- Bereavement, loss & grieving (With enhanced COVID input)
- Relationships - Difficulties, separation, couples therapy, divorce
- Men's mental health challenges
- Loss of self identity
- LGBTQ+ minority stress
In this profile I will cover a few details on how I can support you, and I also offer a free phone or zoom consultation for us to talk about how you can benefit from working with me specifically.
How will our sessions work for you?
Through attending sessions with me, I will give you a safe & private space to understand and learn more about your current situation, whilst supporting you to look back on the things that contributed to how you are feeling now. Each session will be focused on you to give you an opportunity to speak without fear of judgment or other agenda to find the answers you need to the matters that you are facing. You will draw on your experience and life skills to find and develop your own resources to manage your future.
About me & my role
Looking for a counsellor can be a real minefield. Who do you choose? It has to be someone who you feel you can relate to as the therapeutic relationship is an important key to your progress.
I trade through my company name of Dynamic Therapy Club. Through my support I offer a unique, down to earth and effective approach to your issues. As well as a professional. you will be dealing with me as a genuine human being who wants to support you in whatever you are dealing with. I have been through the therapeutic process myself, and believe in the benefits of therapy so much that I became a counsellor.
It is my role to support you in making sense & meaning of what you are experiencing now and finding the right path to where you want to be. My approach to counselling is to make sessions as relaxed and conversational as possible to give you a safe, calm and confidential space to explore whatever brings you to therapy. We will identify a way that works for you and the sessions are your own to explore whatever you choose.
I monitor this profile weekly and will update if I have availability or not:

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
