About me

I am a UKCP registered, degree qualified counsellor. I work in an integrative way, offering a non-judgemental, safe, confidential service in the Norwich area, where I cater to individuals looking for counselling.

I am happy to work with you either for a brief period of time, or for a longer set of sessions, depending on what you need. This is something we would be able to discuss and plan together. I believe that in counselling it is crucial that we work together. This is about you, it's your journey, and I always believe it is important for you to be involved in all aspects of your counselling.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am degree qualified in integrative counselling. I completed this through the Matrix School of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I have also done CPD (continuing professional development) in a range of different areas including suicidal ideation, dreamwork, Transactional Analysis, depression, bereavement and so on. I continue to take on CPD as well to ensure that I can effectively help you.

I have worked for professional organisations previously including MIND, and now work privately from my home in Norwich.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

I believe that in our early lives, without realizing it situations arise that cause us to develop certain beliefs about that way we "should" be, and how we should act and behave. This can cause problems later in life when the way we want to be conflicts with these previously held beliefs.

I think it is important and valuable to examine these, in a supportive, safe, and pressure-free environment in order to get to the root of what YOU believe, and to ascertain how you want to move forward in your life. I look to examine the past, present, and to look ahead to the future with you in order to help you move forwards.

Please feel free to send me an email if you have any further questions.
