About me

I am a self-motivated and enthusiastic Counsellor/Psychotherapist with various skills and experience. I work in a person-centred way but I am able to use various counselling and psychotherapy tools and techniques to help client achieve their goals for therapy.

I work in a professional, authentic, non-judgemental,  non-discriminatory, hardworking, responsible, approachable, patient and reliable manner.

I have various experience in Mental health support work, Administration and Human Resources management working within client services environment and I attend monthly supervision.

I am able to listen actively without judging, showing empathy, respect, asking questions for clarifications and exploration where possible. I always aim to help people explore, realise and harness their own potential in ways that are personally life enhancing and satisfying to them.

I have worked with several clients with varying issues ranging from depression, trauma, anxiety, insomnia, domestic violence, alcohol and drug misuse, self-harm, suicide etc including children and adults with special needs.

I have level 5 Professional and Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic counselling and I am an accredited member of the National counselling society
and the National Hypnotherapy society and I am guided by their ethics and guidance.

I volunteer as a counsellor and career adviser in my local community church and other charities; maintaining confidentiality and respecting others’ space, custom, values, spiritual beliefs, autonomy, preference, privacy and dignity.

However, I am aware of my limitations and professional boundaries, make referrals and seek help whenever required.
