If you are reading this, you have already taken a huge step towards growth and self-healing, welcome!
Hi, my name is Abisola and I am a fully qualified counsellor based in North Manchester and South East London.
Therapy is to support you, it sometimes may not feel so but you are the expert of your reality. My role as a therapist is to walk alongside you on your journey and help to facilitate your growth through increasing self-awareness, setting and working towards goals together. We can work to challenge unhelpful ways of thinking and break away from vicious cycles that may be preventing you from experiencing your full potential.
I offer a safe, non-judgemental and jargon free space where you can work to discover what is holding you back and may be causing you to feel lost, confused or despairing. My approach is kind, warm and honest. I will never rush you but sometimes I may gently challenge you to help you uncover and make sense of the things below the surface that may be impacting you. However, I will always be on your side.
Certain issues that you might want to address in therapy include: depression, anxiety, family/relationship issues, confidence, self-identity which may include but is not limited to; cultural disparities, gender, sexual or religious identities.
Deciding to start therapy can feel really daunting but all that is needed to begin is a glimmer of hope. If you feel ready to start this journey please do not hesitate to email me any queries that you may have.

BACP Registered Person centered therapist
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I adhere to BACP ethical guidelines and have ongoing monthly clinical supervision
