About me
Hello, I’m Abigail, an integrative therapist specialising in remote sessions with clients across the UK.
Whether you’re exploring therapy for the first time, coming back after a significant life event, or looking for someone new to work with – finding the right therapist can be hard. With that in mind, I offer free 15 minute Zoom calls to help you determine if working together is right for you.
Whatever brings you to therapy today, it is my firm belief that we all have the capacity to create meaningful change in pursuit of happiness. I offer an empathetic, non-judgemental, safe space where we can work together to explore what that could look like for you.
I work on the basis that we all make subconscious decisions in relation to our earliest experiences. Over time, patterns of thinking and behaviour emerge that we don’t necessarily have awareness of or control over. Without bringing them into focus, these patterns can lead to anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, problems in our relationships and a feeling that we don’t really know ourselves. I can help you identify these deeply rooted behaviours and regain a sense of agency and conscious decision making.
I am a registered member of the BACP and I hold an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling from CPPD. Before qualifying as a psychotherapist I worked for over a decade as an international documentary director, where I learned the power of listening and the value of storytelling. As a consequence of that work, I also understand how hard it can be to commit to being in the same physical location every week. I specialise in remote sessions so that your therapeutic needs can be met wherever you are. I look forward to your email.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
