About me
Hi, thank you for visiting my profile. As a Therapist I work with individuals on a variety of issues, recognising the needs of each client and tailoring therapy in order for my clients to reach a better place in their life. I offer a safe, confidential and respectful environment to help you explore the change you want.
Seeking counselling can be a scary thought, and it takes courage to make the first step. With my support, you can make those steps and build on your confidence and self-esteem. My practice is working with adults and young people on a variety of issues such as low moods, stress, anxiety management, loss, self-worth and confidence building. I have worked in a variety of settings, including charities, further education and the NHS.
My area of expertise is with survivors and families of sexual abuse, self-harming, suicidal thoughts, trauma including childhood trauma, attachment issues and disorders, bereavement and clinical health issues.
My modality is humanistic, working at relational depth to create an authentic therapeutic relationship, enabling you to have a deeper understanding of your issues. My practice is also integrative, drawing on ranges of approaches and theories to enable us to work together more effectively, thereby ensuring your individual needs are being met.
Before you commit to the process of counselling, it is important you feel comfortable and safe. You have a choice of how we will work, maybe short term, focussing on a solution or you may want to explore your feeling at a deeper level which can involve counselling for a length of time.
I offer day and evening counselling appointments, including weekends. This can be face to face, telephone or remotely online.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
