Aashna was created because we recognised the struggle diverse groups face in finding therapy that meets their needs, as well as the challenge practitioners from diverse backgrounds face in trying to reach and support their communities.
Aashna will be a unique therapeutic space, offering individuals from all backgrounds the opportunity to come together to nurture our voices and support each other to facilitate change.
To honour diversity, difference and community in all its forms and our mission will be to inspire diverse groups to access therapy in support of wellbeing.
Our aims at Aashna are:
- To make therapy more accessible for individuals from diverse backgrounds who struggle to find therapy.
- To inspire diverse groups to access therapy and support their psychological health To bring together practitioners of all backgrounds and orientations to support each other in our work.
- To build a community that supports the counselling and psychotherapy field by proactively working with diverse groups.
We aim to actively encourage and facilitate each other’s growth by providing CPD, workshops and seminars that educate, develop and challenge our thinking and our work. If you as a practitioner have a particular interest, speciality, or passionate about certain issues and would like to lead or facilitate your own workshops or seminars we will hope to support you through the practice. We believe in collaborative process and a communal atmosphere and value your ideas and input.
Training, qualifications & experience
Our practitioners are registered or accredited with a professional body and insured before they join Aashna. For information about specific experience you may visit our website for each practitioners profiles.
You must be registered or accredited with a governing body and hold full insurance to practice with Aashna.

For therapists - our facilities
We have five beautiful therapy rooms and a seminar room which you can view or call to book a viewing. We will be happy to show you the rooms and discuss how we may work together.
Each room is created with difference & diversity at heart. We wanted to reflect the unique world we live in and the diversity each one of us holds.

We provide a fully functional kitchen. We have a coffee corner with a Nespresso machine for the coffee lovers, wealso provide a variety of organic teas with a variety of alternatives to milk. We hope the kitchen will be a place for our therapists to relax, to meet and chat before/after sessions. Come for breakfast before a client or stay for dinner after your last client. We want you come as early as you need or stay as late as you please.
The library - Beauly
To be used by therapists to relax, study, work when the room is not being used for a workshop or seminar.
It is fitted with user friendly technology for presentations and 'mirroring' of your mobile device.

As Aashna is very much part of busy bustling community, with a variety of shops cafes restaurants and bars, we are able to offer our therapists little extras.
- Yoga sessions: we aim to provide free weekly yoga sessions for our therapists on a Saturday morning run by Razia an experienced yoga teacher who lives and teaches locally.
- Waterstones discount – 10% discount for Aashna practitioners at our local branch.
- Discounts at various local cafes and restaurants.Please ask for details.
We are located on peaceful residential street just of a busy bustling high street. With a variety of shops cafes and restaurants.
There a public car park situated on Castle Road Transport links North Finchley Bus Station is 3 minutes walk away from the Practice Nearest tube is Woodside Park on the Northen line and only 8 minutes walk away.
Our hope is to create a practice that is warm, inclusive and welcoming. We want our therapists to feel they are being supported in their practice, their wellbeing - and to feel that Aashna is a home away from home.
