Dr Aaron C. Roberts CPsychol AFBPsS
19 Nassau Street
To talk, and be carefully listened to, can be profoundly healing. Together we will begin to make sense of your experiences and understand how personal change might emerge. There are many ways to approach therapy and we will learn together which is most helpful to you. Sometimes people prefer to work for a short period of time on a specific problem, while others are drawn to longer-term work, taking time to understand themselves more deeply. Just as each person is unique, each therapy experience is also a uniquely personal one. We will begin with a 50 minute consultation to develop an understanding of what is troubling you and what might be the most helpful thing to do next.
I am trained to approach therapy from a number of perspectives, including psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioural, and systemic (including narrative and solution-focused). I have further training specifically in psychoanalytic/psychodynamic therapy and mentalization-based therapy (MBT). These approaches are often ‘integrated’ to suit an individual person’s needs.
I provide consultation and individual psychological therapy to adults. My consulting room is in central London at 19 Nassau Street, Fitzrovia, W1W 7AF. The nearest underground stations are Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road, and Goodge Street. My current availability is evenings from 6pm. The fee for each 50 minute session is £90.
