About us

If you need someone to talk to or know someone that does, I  offer a calm confidential environment for you/them to explore your personal issues and dilemmas.

As an Accredited and professional Psychotherapist, a counselling session(s) with me provides you with an opportunity to talk through and explore problems with a person who is trained to listen attentively and guide you through the process. It can lead to a greater understanding of the impact your experiences have on life, work, and relationships. It can also help you to manage anger, anxiety etc and develop improved communication skills.

My training with the National Centre for Eating Disorders( (Master Practitioner Diploma in Eating Disorders and Obesity) BPS approved, has enabled me to work successfully with a range of clients and their families living with Eating Disorders.

I’m also a qualified and experienced Supervisor and my therapy modalities include Person Centred Counselling/CBT/Psychodynamic/Transactional analysis. My area of special interest is Eating Disorders and Obesity and I hold a Master Practitioner Diploma from the National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED) approved by the British Psychological society (BPS)

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

I work to an integrated model of supervision which incorporates Carrols model and that of Page and Wosket and Shohet and Hawkins. This gives me the ability to work with Supervisees of all modalities as the focus is on many different aspects of the supervisory relationship and not just the modality.
