About me

I am a UKCP Registered Gestalt Psychotherapist. I work in private practice with individuals and couples. I offer supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists and other professionals.

I have 30 years' experience of helping people recover from stress, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, abuse and effects of physical and psychological trauma.

I have also worked extensively with those seeking creative directions for their lives through the resolution of persistent conflicts and patterns, as well as those experiencing major life transitions, such as bereavement, retirement, divorce, redundancy etc.

Having worked for many years in a GP surgery, I have extensive experience of short-term, focused work, in addition to my experience of working with Post Traumatic Stress issues. I am also available to work medium and long-term where appropriate.

Training, qualifications & experience

I started training at the Metanoia Psychotherapy Training Institute in London in 1987, and completed my Gestalt Psychotherapy Diploma in 1991. I have been working with clients since 1988 in private practice and also have 8 years' experience within the NHS.

I have maintained my professional competence through ongoing supervision and by attending courses with leading practitioners including trainings in professional supervision and couples work.

In 2003/4 I attended a year's training in Systemic Constellations Work and I include systemic thinking in my approach.

I am a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute (GPTI).

I hold the Diploma in Supervision from the Centre for Staff Team Development, Bath, and offer supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists and other professionals.
