Fiona Lambert Counsellor and Psychotherapist (UKCP)
I am a registered psychotherapist and counsellor with over 20 years’ experience of working in both private practice and the NHS. I work with adults of all ages suffering from a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties, for example, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and irritability. These problems frequently lead to a general sense of dissatisfaction, difficulty in making decisions and a struggle to cope with every day life. They can also affect other aspects of life such as personal relationships, work, and inevitably the way you feel about yourself.
I provide a confidential and secure space in which to explore these difficulties and so gain a greater understanding of the underlying causes. This can provide a sense of relief, enable changes to be made and give you a greater sense of control over your life.
The Initial Consultation
This first meeting is generally a longer appointment in order that I can hear more about you and the difficulties that have caused you to seek help at this time. It will also be an opportunity for you to gain a sense of the way I work and whether this feels right for you and to ask any questions you may have.
At the end of the appointment we can discuss the options I think will be helpful for you; Should we agree therapy would be beneficial I will usually advise that you be seen on at least a weekly basis, though it is often helpful to be seen more intensively. I can also recommend other colleagues or services.
Each session will be 50 minutes and will be on the same day and time each week. The fee is £55. I work weekdays and evenings.
The initial consultation is 90 minutes and the fee is £75
My consulting room is in central Chelmsford.
