About me
I am a qualified and experienced UKCP registered counsellor and psychotherapist. I integrate a variety of models with the basis being a non-judgemental and supportive approach to my work. I work both in private practice and have expeirence of working at the Priory with a variety of presenting issues. I offer both open-ended counselling and time-limited focused therapy for adults and young people. I am also able to work with couples. I am non-judgemental and offer a safe, confedential service to suit all humanistic needs.
The kind of therapy I practice is based on Transactional Analysis but I also offer CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), when appropriate.
I have experience of working with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties and with men and women from diverse backgrounds.
Additionally I work with students who are themselves trainees.
I have a good understanding amd experience of the 12 step program for the treatment of addictions and am able to incorporate this into my counselling work.

UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
