Jenny Charles MBACP (Accred)
Hi, I'm Jenny and I am an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist. My aim is to help you to find positive solutions to your current situation so that you can move forward with your life.
Many people have area's of their life that are either out of control or unmanageable; others just know something isn't right even if they don't know what 'it' is. Whatever the situation I will work with you to help you find ways to gain control of situations or emotions to enable you to have a happier more fulfilled life.
With 17 years experience I have worked with many issues including, but not limited to, couples counselling, domestic abuse, anger management, low self esteem, low self confidence, relationship issues, bereavement, anxiety, depression, sexual abuse.
I offer individual and couples counselling in a private and comfortable room near Upminster Bridge Station in Essex. I work in an integrative way using Humanistic, Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), as appropriate for both long term and short term counselling with adults, both male and female, in a professional, warm, friendly environment.
I try to be as flexible as possible, and appointments can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly and do not have to be at the same time or day. There is no set amount of time that you have to come to counselling, you may just want one session or you may want several, the choice is entirely yours.
As an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy I work within an Equal Opportunities Framework and the B.A.C.P Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also a Aviva Registered Healthcare Provider.
You can view more about my practice on my website www.counsellingsolutions.co.uk
You can also visit the B.A.C.P website at www.bacp.co.uk for a list of accredited members. Accreditation indicates that your counsellor has achieved a substantial level of training and experience that has been approved by The British Association of Counselling and Psychotheraphy.
