About me
I have been working in Private practice for the past 30 years. I work in English, Spanish and Portuguese languages. I specialize in seeing clients that left their country of origin and mother tongue. I see clients on a weekly basis, one, twice or 3 times weekly sessions. The therapy can be short term/ time limited or open ended. I am able to work face to face or online.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist (1985), Trained as a Psychoanalytical Psychotherapist at IPSS (Institute of Psychotherapy and Social studies) 1989-1992.
Worked at WTC (The Women's Therapy Centre ) 1998-2001.
I was a Senior Psychotherapist for Women at the Maya Centre from 2007-2012.
I am the counsellor of a large NHS GP's Practice and have been there since 2008.
I am an Executive Member of MLPC (The Multilingual Psychotherapy Centre).

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
