About me
Hello and welcome to my page.
I have been helping people with psychological issues for over 30 years, and originally went for counselling training because others would often seek me out to listen to their problems and difficulties. My own background and past difficulties mean that I have a good understanding of where others may be coming from.
I use a designated room in my home which is comfortable and relaxed. There is a bus stop almost outside my house, with buses regularly connecting Mablethorpe and Louth.
My concern is to help my clients overcome the issues that are preventing them from reaching their full potential; to see them break free from those things that are holding them back. Working with a number of different counselling models enables me to adapt to my clients' individual needs and circumstances.
Some clients come with a specific issue and goal in mind; these people I generally do not have to see too many times. Some, however, are looking for more general open-ended therapy, which I am also able to offer. Whatever your issues and situation, I can guarantee that we will do our best to create an environment where you will feel safe and listened to, with the ultimate goal of helping you to get to a place of freedom.
I also work as a supervisor. Here, my concern is to support and hold those in training, and to provide a space for the more experienced to off-load their concerns, frustrations and joys! As well as the excellent training I have had, my own experiences of both helpful and unhelpful supervision have taught me a lot; as a result I am in a very good place to help others.
As well as working with individuals and couples, I run workshops and seminars on counselling and personality issues. I am also trained as a Myers Briggs Personality Type assessor which is a very helpful and liberating tool to accept and understand yourself and others.
I am a senior accredited therapist with BACP, have full professional indemnity insurance and am fully committed to ongoing professional development, including personal therapy.
If you have any questions or are interested in finding out more please feel free to contact me with no obligation. I would love to hear from you, either by email or phone. Alternatively have a wander around my website, address and link above.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
