About me

BACP Accredited Counsellor with over 19 years experience of working with Individuals and couples. UK Registered Counsellor/Psychotherapist (UKRC).

Many years experience of working within Corporate and Public sectors - including American Express, Queen Alexandra Hospital Homes. Brighton, Hove, Worthing Relate (Senior Counsellor) Counsellor to the Myaesthenia Gravis Association (Myaware)

Relationship Counsellor - Professionally Certificated (Relate) 19 years experience of Couples Counselling working with relationships and marital problems. These include Separation and Divorce, Affairs and breakups, Sexual difficulties, IVF, Domestic Violence, Couples Counselling with people of the same and different gender.

Clinical Supervision - I offer Counselling Supervision to Counsellors who are in training as well as to those who are qualified and working with Clients. (F2F and Skype)

Also: Anxiety, Loss, Bereavement, Work related problems, Stress, Self-Esteem, Confidence, Eating Disorders, Panic attacks.

I seek the most effective and creative approach for each individual client or couple (within a mainly a short term solution focussed model). I also (where appropriate) offer mid to long term Psychotherapy.

My approach to Counselling is 'integrative' - meaning that I'm not tied to one particular approach (although you'll see from my qualifications that I'm trained in many).

I offer face to face counsellling for individuals and couples - as well as Telephone counselling and SKYPE.

My Fees are negotiable - But as a guide:

Face to Face - £60 Individuals. £75 Couples £40 Students / Low income/ On Benefits

Telephone       £40 per session

-             £50 (an effective way to speak face to face in private from your own home

Supervision -   £82.50 per full 1.5 hour session (BACP)

Counselling Sessions are 50 minutes duration
Supervision - 1.5 hours to adhere to BACP requirements - but can be shorter if required.

As an Registered Accredited Member of the BACP I am subject to professional standards and practices which call upon me to have professional indemnity insurance; to undertake regular clinical supervision of my work by an independent BACP Accredited Supervisor; to undergo a programme of continual professional development and training.

I abide by the BACP Code of Professional Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
