Shannon Woolf MBACP (Accred)
We all experience moments when our feelings can be so overwhelming, sometimes to the point where we find ourselves completely overtaken by them. We recognise they are effecting us at a deep level and making us unhappy in some way but we feel entrapped by them & can't seem to find a way out.
THE CALL.....Perhaps a part of you is reaching out & wanting to examine some unresolved issues from your past or perhaps you have a yearning for change in some way...
THE INVITATION ...maybe we can discover some of the answers together..................
Whilst friends & family can be a huge source of comfort & support, sometimes we cannot tell them exactly how we are feeling for fear of upsetting them or raising issues that may involve or effect them in some way.
Perhaps talking to someone who is not personally involved may be helpful.
You may be experiencing:
* Loss / grief / bereavement
* Lack of self esteem
* Divorce / separation
I recognise how difficult it is to approach a stranger, someone outside of family & friends with whom you can talk through your problems. I will listen, without making judgements or taking sides. My intention is to provide a warm, welcoming & safe environment, a place where you will be treated with respect.
I am fully qualified, widely experienced, & work in accordance with BACP guidelines. My approach is mainly person-centred / transpersonal. In addition I offer NLP, EFT and hypnotherapy.
My clients tell me my counselling premises are cosy & comfortable - the room is located on the ground floor, parking is readily available.
If you'd like to know more please feel free to phone me & we can have a quick chat. I am happy to arrange a free 10-15 minute consultation where we can have a brief chat to see how you feel about us working through things together.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
