Training, qualifications & experience
M.A (Edinburgh University) Post.Grad.Cert. Education and Post.Grad.Diploma PC Counselling. Person-Centred Therapy (Britain) Certificate in Supervision. As a professional member of the BACP, I work within its ethical framework. Coming from a background of education and drama, I have been counselling for 18 years and supervising for 9 years. My experience includes working in various settings--a local counselling agency, Aberdeen University Counselling Service (where I worked part time for ten years), schools, Aberdeen Carers' Centre and in Private Practice--with a wide range of issues. In my time, I have also trained volunteer counsellors and students as well as mentoring students and associates at Aberdeen University counselling service.

Other areas of counselling I deal with
I have experience of working with adolescents and children both in a school setting and in my private practice.
I have also completed the core training for Playback Theatre: an original form of theatrical improvisation in which people tell real events from their lives, then watch them enacted on the spot.
Counselling: £40 for 50 minute sessions for private clients, £45 for clients referred by organisations.
Supervision: £40 per hour for private supervisees, £45 for supervisees funded by organisations.
I offer supervision to counsellors and trainee counsellors. I have experience of running assertiveness training groups for adults and children.
