About me

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist  recognised and validated by the British Psychological Society and registered with The Health Professions Council. I work and live in Suffolk in the Ipswich and Woodbridge area, from my home practice.
I have done extensive training in a number of different approaches to counselling and working with clients who may come with a number of issues. These approaches include CBT, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitve Analytic Therapy  within a Person-Centred philosophy.  I aim to provide a neutral space to facilitate and reflect on life changes and stresses.

I also continue to offer supervision to  Counsellors and Counselling Psychologists both as trainees and experienced practitioners. My model is integrative and I have completed a  further supervision training with the British Psychological Society in 2009.

I am also a director of Mindfulness CIC a Community Interest Company which focusses on providing training and support in Mindfulness approaches for groups, professionals and individual clients.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

My work includes issues arising from trauma, loss, change and stress as well as issues related to health and disease.
I use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Analytic Therapy skills and the newer Acceptance and Commitment Therapy model  and Mindfulness based therapy as approaches in my work. The emphasis is always on building a collaborative and supportive working relationship with clients.
My supervision model is based on an integrative approach with a Supervision contract and review process as part of the work we would do together.
