About me

My name is Laura, and I run New Day Therapy. I am a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor accredited and registered with The National Counselling Society.

Therapy can be life changing for some! It is used by many people to help with certain areas of their lives in which they need some direction, but, I am not the expert in your life, you are! My job is to help guide you over, above, or below obstacles on your journey throughout our time together.

I truly believe we are all so unique, that using only one style of therapy is not sufficient enough in order for us to reach our goals. As I am an integrative counsellor, I therefore look at the person as a whole and tailor therapy to meet their individual needs. I do this by mixing a range of theories and approaches such as: cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT); the psychodynamic approach to look at childhood and early experiences; and the person-centred approach. I am able to pull out what I believe will be the most relevant and beneficial parts of each approach and technique and integrate them to meet the needs of each individual person.
