About me

I am a Sex and Relationship Therapist who specialises in working with Sex and Porn Addiction, Sexual Dysfunctions and Sexually Compulsive Behaviours. I work with individuals, couples and partners and facilitate a sex addiction recovery group and a support group for the partners of addicts.

I work with a variety of sexual issues both with individuals and with couples including erectile dysfunction, rapid ejaculation, vaginismus, sexual confidence, differences in desire, compulsive and offending behaviours.  I am kink aware and work with all communities.

I have over eleven years of experience, working with both couples and individuals.  I have worked with more than 600 clients over 9,000+ counselling sessions.  During that time I have helped  many people from different and diverse backgrounds change their lives and their relationships for the better and that is the reason I am so passionate about this work.

I have given talks on behalf of Epping Forest District Council, appeared on Radio Essex and I'm currently leading a project which addresses the mental health needs of schools within the borough.  I am also the Clinical Director of Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Buckhurst Hill, Essex and have lectured at the University of East London (Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Coaching).

On a regular basis, I volunteer my time to run non-profit community groups at the therapy centre which include the:

  • Anxiety management group,
  • Bereavement support group,
  • Menopause well-being group,
  • Sex addiction recovery group
  • Partners of sex addicts support group.

I run mental health training courses, workshops and have experience in both clinical supervision and lecturing. I am also passionate about giving trainees the opportunity to gain counselling experiences at the centre so offer yearly placements to local counselling students. Collaborating with local universities and colleges means the Centre can provide a low cost counselling service to individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford private counselling

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
