Nicola Hett Psychotherapist UKCP Registered
When we feel anxious and unhappy we often talk to family and friends which can helpful, but sometimes we need to talk to someone who is outside of our usual situation in a more professional capacity. Whether in response to a crisis or because something has been bothering you for a while, therapy provides an opportunity address an immediate issue or shift something that may be unresolved and feels stuck.
I have been practising for well over 15 years and have provided counselling within the NHS at GP surgeries; Sutton Counselling Service; also, as a professional coach, supporting individuals who face particular challenges within their working environments. I am an accredited Supervisor of both training and qualified counsellors.
Reaching out for professional support is a brave decision but therapy can also be considered as a journey and an investment - an investment in you to strengthen your inner growth and development.
I always seek to establish a caring, non-judgemental and supportive relationship with each of my clients so that together we can look at areas which may be deeply painful to acknowledge. We look back to see where patterns of behaviour have come from and also focus on the difficulties being experienced in the here and now to find a way through.
Please do make contact if you are
- feeling sad and depressed;
- in crisis - suffering from stress and anxiety;
- battling low self esteem;
- struggling with family issues;
- trying to cope after a bereavement;
- or overwhelmed by work problems.
We can speak by phone initially and then arrange to meet if it seems right. At our first consultation we can explore ways to approach what is troubling you and see if we can work together.
My practice is located within easy reach of Central London, Hammersmith, Putney and SW London.
