I am a highly experienced psychotherapist based at the London Family Therapy Partnership in Harley Street, London W1. I am UKCP registered and fully qualified to work with individuals, couples and families.
My style is warm, collaborative and approachable. I believe my clients are the experts on their own lives; my role is to assist them in understanding that experience and in finding the solutions that have so far eluded them.
I specialise in therapy for relationship issues. This may mean looking at past as well as current difficulties, with anything from individual clients to whole family groups. I have particular experience around addictions and have worked extensively with parents and children, couples and families - both heterosexual and LGBT - impacted by their own or another's substance misuse. I frequently work with adult children and their parents to work on repairing damaged relationships. My work with individual clients often includes looking at the ways early life or relationship trauma may have led to negative coping strategies and behaviours, and helping them find healthier ways of moving forwards. I am also experienced in working with marriage/couple breakdown.
I offer sessions on a weekly or two-weekly basis, for short term or open-ended work.
My experience includes many years as an NHS psychotherapist, as well as extensive work in private practice and the voluntary sector. Prior to training as a therapist, I spent eleven years in the film industry. In my psychotherapy practice I frequently work with people in the creative professions.
