Jacqueline Hendy MBACP(Senior Accredited) Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor.
Having worked as a counsellor in private practice for over 24 years, my experience has taught me that people seek counselling for a variety of reasons but almost always with the hope that they can change something about the way they feel and the impact this has on their everyday lives and relationships.
Making changes in one's life can be challenging but counselling provides an opportunity to have a committed and skilled person alongside you in that process of change. My aim is to work with you to identify and understand the concerns you have, to support you in overcoming difficulties and to move towards the changes you desire.
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor & Psychotherapist and Supervisor with 24 years experience of working alongside people who are wishing to address issues and overcome problems, rediscover strengths and make the changes that will improve life. I work integratively which means that I work with the whole person and my methods and approaches are shaped to meet the issues you bring. Certain counselling styles suit some people more than others, so I will draw on a range of approaches in order to provide the right support for you.
I work with individuals in a number of different ways:
- In all cases I offer an initial consultation at a reduced fee of £25 for a 50minute session
- I offer short term contracts 6-10 sessions to work with specific problem
- I also work longer term to address deeper rooted underlying issues that
have been present throughout life
I believe that our emotional and psychological health has a significant impact on the quality of our lives, our relationships, our physical health and our potential for living the fulfilled and satisfied lives that we desire. It is for this reason that I trained for and work in a profession which offers hope and the possibility of change.
