About me
My name is Paula and I am a fully qualified counsellor trained and experienced in Person-Centred Counselling, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I am open-minded and non-judgemental and provide a warm therapeutic space where you can safely explore your current difficulties.
I am compassionate, empathic and work in a very intuitive way. As we are all different I tailor my approach to the unique needs and individuality of each client, meaning I work in a very authentic and non-prescriptive way.
My philosophy to counselling and therapeutic/healing work is getting to know all aspects of yourself, even the parts we find unacceptable, and becoming more conscious and self aware. I work with the inner child, shadow self, dream work and use other tools and techniques both traditional and unorthodox to facilitate self awareness and integration to become whole again.
Sometimes the challenges we have experienced in life can leave us with unresolved trauma and with a sense of feeling lost, disconnected from ourselves and others or even wondering if we have gone mad. It can be very helpful to talk to a counsellor about what you are going through and feel that someone understands where you are coming from and offers the appropriate support for you to overcome your difficulties.
Counselling helps you to understand what is best for you, connects you with your authentic self and supports you in making the changes you need to make in order to live the life you deserve.
I work with all belief systems, and with people who don’t identify themselves as having a belief system.
I offer psychedelic integration. Please see my website for more details.
I always work to the clients agenda and needs therefore I am flexible in the amount of sessions I can offer any individual client.

Member organisations
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
