I have a busy private practice working with individuals and couples who are experiencing unhappiness in their relationships and would like to understand and improve them.
My specialist reputation is in the fields of relationship and sexual therapy and in working with couples and individuals who may have concern about their relationship and the future. There may also be worry about the impact on children of tensions between themselves and their partner.
I am particularly drawn to helping people understand and improve their communication difficulties, to re-connect to each other and to finding more positive ways of being together.
I also work with individuals and couples where there is concern or upset about sexual issues and sexual behaviour.
It is my practice to offer an initial meeting to explore the issues that have led you to seek help from a therapist and to see how I may be of help to you as a couple or an individual.. Decisions are made about the most appropriate way forward, at the end of this first session, be it continuing work or an appropriate referral.
I can be contacted by email or telephone.
The practice is located on a private cul-de-sac and there is more than ample parking space.
My practice is governed by the Codes of Ethics and Practice of COSRT and BACP.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists
COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.
All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
