Jill Bamber PGCE, BA Hons, Grad Dip Couns, Cert Supv'n, MBACP (Accred)
I offer online (telephone, in-vision) counselling to individuals and employees and face to face therapeutic play to children in primary and high schools.
I specialise in working with people who are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, workplace/school or personal relationship issues, bereavement, loss and low self-esteem. I offer a safe and confidential space for clients to explore their fears and feelings whilst encouraging them to take responsibility for their own well-being.
I am qualified to offer online and face-to-face counselling and I work in a pluralistic way, which means I will work collaboratively with you in a way that best suits you (this could be person-centred, CBT, solution-focused, therapeutic play or a combination of these). I have experience of counselling children and young people in primary and high schools as well as adults. In addition to counselling, I am course leader on the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Counselling Skills, the Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision and the Postgraduate Certificate in Therapeutic Work with Children and Adolescents at the University of Central Lancashire.
I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. I am police-checked (Enhanced DBS) to work with children as well as adults.
I am also a qualified and experienced Supervisor (online and face-to-face).
