I am an experienced accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor with UKAHPP/UKCP. I work from a humanistic, transpersonal and creative approach. I am qualified in many areas including Humanistic Psychotherapy and Transpersonal (spiritual) Psychotherapy and experienced in counselling on many subjects such as bereavement, depression,relationship issues and stress as well as in issues relating to low self esteem and poor self image.I am additionally interested in understanding dreams and working with the unconscious messages we may encounter from a Jungian perspective. I am currently researching children's dreams at Essex University at Phd level.
I am a senior lecturer in Humanistic counselling and childhood studies at a local University.
I have worked successfully with adult, young children and adolecent clients who have used sandtray work to resolve worries or anxieties all the creative approaches aim to heal the inner self, which may be in conflict with the outer expectations of life.
I have the UKCP child and adolescence proficiency marker since October 2017.

Training, qualifications & experience
My initial training was as a humanistic counsellor. I trained to diploma level in Humanistic Psychotherapy at Roehampton University and continued to work as a counsellor for the Wimbledon Guild post training.
I have undertaken various continuing professional development training including attachment counselling, NLP, Expressive Arts and dream work from a Jungian perspective.
In 2009 I completed my Master in Arts (MA) in Transpersonal Arts Psychotherapy. My specialism in this training involved; working with somatic and creative arts to aid healing in palliative care. (St. Wilfrids Hospice). The academic study was underpinend by Humansitic and Jungian concepts and Transpersonal psychology.
I continue to develop extensive through CPD to maintain accreditation standards.

I am a senior lecturer at a local University and I train students in counselling and childhood studies to degree level. My availability is affected by these commitments so evening appointments are most likely to be available currently.
I am experienced in working with adults, children, couples and families.
I am currently studying a PhD. in children's dreams in the context of schools working with a social dream matrix method ( Lawrence 2005) from a Jungian perspective with Essex University.
I have as you may see in the photograph I have a dog called Poppy, she is a Bischon Frise crossed with a toy poodle , she is fully registered as a a pets as Therapy dog -PAT https://petsastherapy.org/and visits schools to help children read she is popular with many clients especially children.

I offer evening and some day tiime appointments and charge £50 for one hour session. Disabled access and parking is available. This may involve short term work or something longer.
I have a large therapy room which provides room for movement, creativity and play for adults and children if this is required. However the therapeutic trusting relationship is the key and core aspect of How I work to enable change for clients.
