About me

I am a couple and individual counsellor and psychotherapist, trained at the Tavistock Relationships, London, and WPF Therapy, Kensington. I offer time-limited and longer term counselling and psychotherapy in a safe and confidential setting.

Sometimes couples and individuals come when they are in crisis and can’t see a way forward, whether it is communication problems, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, bereavement, money issues, affairs and betrayals, family issues, difficulties in their sexual relationship, the question of whether to have a baby, infertility or miscarriage, or wanting to think about separation and divorce. One partner may want more emotional connection than the other. For some it is a question of getting help and support in order to resolve differences before they become a major problem and in order to strengthen their relationship.

Far from being a sign of failure, accessing support at times of stress and during difficult life transitions is a positive and helpful course of action.

You are welcome to call me on 07832 271 289 (mobile) to make an appointment. Alternatively, you can email me. Please provide a telephone number and let me know when is a good time to call you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified as a couple therapist at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships and as an individual psychodynamic psychotherapist at WPF Therapy Kensington, followed by an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies (WPF and University of Roehampton). I also qualified as a couple psychoanalytic psychotherapist at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships.

I am a faculty staff member of The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships in London, where I work with couples and teach.

I am a full member of The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), The British Society of Couple Psychotherapists and Counsellors (B.S.C.P.C.), The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC).

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC

British Psychoanalytic Council

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
