About me

I am an experienced UKCP registered psychotherapist, counsellor and supervisor working privately with individuals, couples, families and groups.  I have experience of NHS and agency counselling and supervision and have completed five years advanced training in psychotherapy. I specialise in relationship difficulties and my background in teaching helps me work with children and adolescents as well as couples and whole family groups. I also firmly believe that relationships can benefit by one person seeking personal change in individual counselling.

I offer a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential environment for you to explore current difficulties in your thoughts, feelings or behaviour. I consider the therapeutic relationship to be a very important part of our work together and offer an initial assessment session, with no further obligation, for us to find out about each other and to see whether we think counselling may be of benefit.

I work both on an open-ended basis and for an agreed time period. I have regular supervision, am fully insured and abide by the ethical guidelines of the BACP, UKCP and European Association of Transactional Analysis, of which I am a member.

My private practice is based in Bransgore, Christchurch, a peaceful location on the edge of the New Forest. My consulting room is in a converted detached garage at my home, with its own private entrance and toilet facilities. It is set in a quiet, beautiful garden and there is plenty of free parking in the area.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
