Jane Wilson MA Counselling & Psychotherapy, MBACP Accred.
8 King Street
Richmond Upon Thames
I am an experienced, friendly counsellor who helps people with depression, anxiety, stress, panic, low self-confidence and relationship difficulties amongst other things. I offer short term or longer term (more in-depth) work depending on what you feel you need, as well as flexible appointment times including evening sessions.
An important difference about me is that I'm part of Re...root, an independent counselling and coaching organisation. This provides high quality support and professional development and helps me to be my best with my clients. Re...root is just off the high street in Richmond town centre. I see adults and young people, but we also have children, couples and family therapists on the team here. For more information, have a look at our website at www.re-root.com
A bit more about how I work: I'm an integrative counsellor, which means I use a variety of ways of working depending on what makes sense for you. I can help you look at how current thoughts, feelings and behaviours may be unhelpful and keeping you stuck (with CBT - cognitive behavioural therapy) as well as look at your earlier experiences to help you understand where some of these unhelpful beliefs and behaviour patterns might come from (psychodynamic work). Simply reviewing things with someone outside the situation can often help you get to the root of the problem, as well as helping you see ways you might do things differently.
When you are looking for a counsellor, it's important to find someone you feel comfortable with. I am happy to talk on the phone or by email to answer any questions about counselling and to see if I am the right counsellor for you.
