Suzanne Foster, BSc (Hons) MBACP(registered) MUPCA
Welcome. I am a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor. I provide counselling to individuals and couples from consulting rooms in Battersea/Clapham Common Westside, SW11.
I imagine that if you are visitig my profile that there is something that is worrying you or causing you distress. I hope that I can help.
I strive to offer my clients a safe and non judgmental space where we can together explore issues that may at times be very painful and difficult to discuss.
People come to see me for a variety of reasons. Below are some of the most common issues that clients present with in my practice:
- clients who suffer from depression
- clients who have experienced loss
- clients who have generalised anxiety which may stem from low self esteem, relationship or work related issues
- clients who are struggling with their sexuality
- couples who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship.
Two things in life are rare. Time for yourself, and someone who will listen to what you have to say without jumping to give directions and advice. As your counsellor I may at times ask questions, make observatons or suggest ways forward. Mainly, however, I will provide you with a space that is just for you, listen to you and help you clarify and understand difficult thoughts and feelings.
Counselling is an opportunity where you can explore issues that may come from the past that are hindering you from moving forward. It is natural to find these things difficult to talk about initially. I aim to provide a safe, non judgmental therapeutic environment in which we have the opportunity to explore and make meaning of your actions, experiences and thoughts. You may then have the opportunity to resolve identified issues and develop a more healthful and fulfilling future.
Counselling is appropriate for anyone who is interested in exploring their inner thoughts and feelings and gaining greater understanding.
